KRCS distributes aid to 1,000 Syrian families in Lebanon

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has distributed aid to 1,000 Syrian displaced families in Lebanon’s southern towns and villages in coordination and cooperation with Lebanon Red Cross (LRC).The aid includes food packages, of which one is enough for five family-members, that are to be handed to 500 Syrian families in Wazzani village, and 500 other families in Arsal town, Khaled Al-Makhyal, head of KRCS team in Lebanon, said.

Jordan thank Kuwait for continued support for Syrian refugees

A Jordanian humanitarian official on Saturday thanked Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) for its continued support of Syrian refugees in Jordan. KRCS “has been providing” humanitarian supplies for Syrian refugees in Jordan since outbreak of Syrian crisis in March 2011, and in coordination with Jordan’s Red Crescent, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hadeed, chairman of JRC, said.

Kuwait continues helping those suffering throughout this week

Kuwait’s philanthropic actions continue to provide a healing hand to those who suffer throughout this week, buttressing its UN-bestowed status as an ‘International Humanitarian Center.’ On January 28, the Consulate-General of Kuwait announced distributing around 1,000 food vouchers to Iraqis displaced in Irbil.The Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Irbil, Dr. Omar Al-Kanderi said that the vouchers were distributed, in cooperation with Kuwait’s Al-Najat Society, to displaced Iraqis. The vouchers are worth USD 50 each.

Most Syrian refugees temporarily settling for safety in Jordan suffer from hard living conditions, many of them dwelling in haphazardly erected tents with meagre nutrition resources.A large number of children of these unfortunate families suffer from malnutrition and various kinds of diseases and illnesses. For these reasons, Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) has scrambled to secure necessities for these Syrians, particularly those dwelling in remote regions such as Jordan Valley.
